Just Kidding

I have deleted to many blogs, and as I went through this one, to save some of my personal posts for future reflection, I felt pained to press the little delete button in the corner. Maybe I should get over my shit (yes relatives, this is my blog and in blogs, it is ok to cuss) and just keep me freakin blog. Im torn. For now it stays up, I have never shared my blog on facebook for the reason that I don't want my friends or people I know in general to know about my blog. Sorry, I am just intimidated for you. I live in a very judging generation, you can't blame me.

Project Blog

Hey everyone, today I realized that I am completely intimidated by the fact that my relatives have read peices of my blog. This shows that honest blogging is not for me, which I didn't realize earlier. Thanks everyone for reading my blog, due to this newfound fact, it is going to be a little different from now on.

Hey everyone! Exciting stuff!

Alright, I know I have not posted in quite sometime, I have been busy with school and crafts and fun stuff like that. Today I come to you with four exciting things

A Suggestion to People in the Lunch Line

Okay, so I have lunch with highschoolers, and middle schoolers and I see a lot of interesting people going through the lunch line. So, here are some notes about people who should know how stupid something they are doing or wearing really is. I don't have a problem with people trying to be different, this is just what I see.

1.  Corsets are not meant for everyday use. Yes, I know you found it at a cool thrift store but seriously you look like you are playing dress up. Also, if you want to be serious about your new and unique look, don't wear a tshirt under the corset, that gets rid of the entire sexy weird purpose. Lastly, the corset you are wearing looks like it was found in the launguraiy section of a department store.... know what outfits are worn for before you buy them. It's slightly creepy

2. There is no need to shout to people in the other lunch line. Seriously, talk when you are both out of the lunch line in 2 minutes.

3.If you wear that shirt, those pants, and those shoes every day of your life, it is going to be real hard to get a girl.

4. Washing your hair at least once every two days is important.

5. I am 4 years older than you, seriously why is our lunch time the same time.

6. I need to get my licence

again, I don't mean any offense, I just needed a day to judge

To The Sister in College

Hey everyone, my sister's name is Kelly, she has always and always will be my best friend. Two days ago she left for college which I was well prepared for. I knew that life was moving forward and me and my sister were moving into an exciting lifestyle with college, and driving, and work. So this was normal, and I was ready for Kelly to head off.

My true fear was that Kelly would be immediately grown up, she would have a boyfriend, she would stop coming home for Christmas, she would move into her own place, and she would feel far more mature than me. But I was wrong, only two days after she left I realized that I would be thrilled for her to have a boyfriend. If she wouldn't come to my Christmas, I would go to hers. If her house was halfway across the country I would fly out there and visit her every so often. I realized that life really does move forward, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. If anything, we should enjoy it.

So Kelly, I don't know if you read my blog but I love you and everyday I think of you and I will continue to forever. I am excited for life to move foreword and I am excited for school to start so I can stop missing you. It isn't like I miss you desperately, I just think of you often and notice your not being here.

PS: The bathroom stays super clean without you :P

Idiot Dog + Bold Skunk

Equals, the naked girls washing the idiot dog with hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and soap....... at 11:00 pm.

Yes, my dog was seriously just sprayed by a skunk. He has never gotten super close to a live animal so what he did was he grabbed it, tossed it around. was sprayed once, twice, three times tossed it some more, and then watched it scurry under the deck.

I can't say I have ever been that close to a skunk, and I am not proud of it noe that I have. Litterally every room in my house (excluding the garage) smells like skunk. This is also not just a normal skunk smell, it is a terrified skunk smell.

So yea, I wanted to just share that with you...




Oh, the naked girls part right. Well my mom was naked so she could bathe the dog, my sister was naked so she could hold the dog in the shower, and I was naked so none of my brand new first day of school clothes would smell like a freakin skunk.

Fabreze Fabric Refresher

Hey guys, I have yet to find a nice spot for my new bra but, today I would like to talk about Fabreze!

So we have all seen the Fabreze Fabric Freshener commercial where people go into a gross room and think it smells like a nice house because people sprayed the couches with Fabreze. May I just state, I would get a hell of a headache in a room that smell like a gallon of fabreze. I have never tried it so I don't have a real say in how it is, but this is how I think of it.

There was once a chair that was 50ish years old, it came from my grandmother and there is a legend that a wedding ring diamond was lost in the cushions and has yet to be found. Well, today I looked at my sister as she ate a peach on this chair. The peach dripped into the chair and we watched at the stain disappeared. But we both knew that that sticky peach juice was now a part of the chair. That was when I wondered if we could clean it. That led me to think of spraying Fabreze on it, till I realized that that Fabreze would be just like that peach juice. The fabreze would drain into the chair and become a part of it, sticking to the fibers in the chairs cushions. Later more Fabreze would be sprayed and inside the chair the cushion would start looking foamy and the cushion would slowly get thinner and thinner as the fibers stuck together when sat on.
That is my take on Fabreze Fabric Refresher, like I said, I have not tried the product but I have reason not to.

New Bra Deserves It's Own Drawer

Hey everyone! I am proud to say that I have made it to over 100 views! Yay! I am thrilled. Anyway, yesterday I went shopping and found a new bra. Bra shopping is quite the challenge because you have to try them all on and it takes for ever. I usually do my bra shopping at target but yesterday i was at Nordstroms. Nordstroms is very fancy and it's bra department was very butiful.

At Nordstroms I grabbed several nice bras to try on and headed for the dressing room. There was a nice lady in front of me who was going to try on bathing suits. The dressing room '"guard" opened a room for her and said, "Hi, what is your name?" the girl responded with her name and then the guard said, "Great, well I will come back to check on you and get sizes for you." Very nice right? Well then the guard comes to me, opens a door and sais "Here" and then she leaves. I guess I look too young to spend money and deserve nice dressing room treatment. Whatever, I continued with my search.

I tried on the first bra, which was from the clearence section, it fit better than any bra I have ever worn. I put it in the maybe pile and tried on several more.

meanwhile the girl next door was getting great service and asking for other service. Not me though

Finally I found the PERFECT bra and looked at the price. $45. WHAT? $45 dollars for a freakin bra?! thats nuts. So then I looked at the price of the one on clearence.....

.....On clearence! Who pays that much for a bra? Anyway, my mom then came in and asked if I had found a bra. Well, I explained the prices and she agreed that 78 was rediculous. She wanted to get me a bra that I could wear without complaint so I showed her the $45 one. She told me she was buying it no matter what.

So here I am, with the perfect bra. I have a problem called, it needs a perfect spot. I feel like none of my other bras deserve to be near it in the drawer.


Where do I put my beautiful bra where it won't be contaminated by the itchy, rude, grey, target bras?

For now it has it's own side in the drawer......

Ok, admit it, you all knew I wouldn't make my nail polish holder. I actually did look for a spice rack at some thrift stores but have yet to find one, and I promise I will keep searching. 

I hope you're wondering what the title to this post means because it is somewhat obscure. The title is a reference to Kelly Clarkson's current hit song, "Dark Side." When me and my sister first heard the song we were in a giddy mood and laughed at how scary this song really sounded. Here are the lyrics to the beginning

That is just the beginning, and personally if I were the person she was talking to, I would not return. Anyway, we instantly started planning a music video and invited our friend to do it with us. After a week of hearing the song we all started to actually like it.

I am addicted to Pinterest. If you have ever been on that website, you can see how I would get addicted. I spend most of my time looking at DIY boards and have found more than 100 projects that I plan to work on. I have yet to start one...
Anyway, today I am starting my first Pinterest project! My sister and I both have a large shared collection of nail polish. We like to create designs on our nails in our spare time, thou our nails stay un-polished for most of the school year. Our collection is currently resting in an old Crocs bag. We usually stuff it all into a tiny wire basket but I found and idea on Pinterest that will give us a place to put our nail polish!

Ah-Men

Men are adorable. I am completely accepting of those women who like women, and those men who like men, and the men that like women, but personally, I am a fan of the men. It is a fascinating concept of who you like. In fact a common truth question in the game of “truth or dare” is often, what you like in a man. Well friends, I have never ever had an answer to that question other than their personality. (According to many of my friends, personality is not included as a trait) So, I finally came up with several things that I look for in a man.  You want to know now don’t you? Well, surprise, you have to wait till the end of this post to see what physical traits I am interested.

My sister and I love to watch TV shows on Netflix. I will post later what shows we like, but anyway, we like to admire that sexy and cute men in these shows and wonder if these people exist in real life. (Yes, is the answer to that question) Kelly and me have very different tastes, but always support each other with who we like. Kelly for one, is into the scruffy sexy men, where as I am into the clean cut sweet men, who have the ability to grow out there hair and let me see a little sexy in them. It’s quite great because we rarely love the same men, but we both kind of love each other’s. I don’t know if that is clear, but Kelly and me get along pretty dam well when watching TV shows.  So yea, just wanted to share that with you all.

Answer to the truth:

I like men who are medium sized or short (I am short so tall men are tough) I would go for a tall man if he were fantastic. I like dark hair, preferred to blond but again, no real preference. I love all eye colors. Honestly, I have never been on a date (yes I am almost 17) so I really don’t care about looks.

Toast To The Future

Hey everyone! I hope you are enjoying this new blog location. Now when I scream at you to comment you actually can! Hurray! Anyway, yesterday I went on a walk/hike (4.5 miles) with my family. My parents were talking about who knows what, and my sister was ahead of the crowd. I was left with my busy mind to create conversation. I talk to myself in my head a lot though, so it was enjoyable. I thought about what my future would be like, and did the classic fourth grade thing where I planned out my house, and career. So, I would like to share it with you!

Once I get out of college at UIC (my current choice of college) I will move into a small apartment on the second story of a two-story building. My apartment will have one bedroom and a small kitchenette; I will also have a teeny space for a television and a couch. I will get into more detail on that later.

In college I will have earned a BA or perhaps a MA in Nursing. I will be an RN (registered nurse), which is the main point. I will have learned to be fluent in Spanish by using Rosetta Stone, so my resume will get me further. I feel it is important to know a second language when working in a hospital because it will help a ton with communication. The people who hire me, will agree. Anyway, I will apply to be a nurse at Children’s Memorial Hospital in downtown Chicago. Since the nursing career is being more and more necessary, and since this is my imagination, I will quickly be hired after a few interviews. I will start working in general pediatrics, and work my way up to being full time in the pediatric oncology unit. I will start work at seven in the morning and work till four or five in the afternoon. (Since this is my imagination, I do have the ability to choose my hours.)

On some evenings I will head over to IO (Improv Olympic) and watch the shows. I will have worked at IO during college, so I will have a show discount. In college I will have also attended theatre classes and have experience with acting. When I watch the shows I will work on joining an improv troop so I can perform in the evenings. I will be sure to notify my troop that I cannot travel due to my full time day job. They of course, will understand and perform out of state without me.

Every so often I will have a day off, and on that day, I will invite over my friends from Nursing, and my friends from IO. We will all mingle, and eat nachos while watching a game show.

When I am not at IO I will go out, or stay home and watched episodes of the latest TV show on Netflix (By then Netflix will have TV shows the day after they are aired.)

I will ride the EL train to the hospital and will read the current news on my IPhone while riding. I will be caught up on current affairs so when I do a show at IO or talk with colleges I will be completely educated.

That is my plan for several years when I move on from college. My plans are sure to change, but from my junior year, this is what I hope will come. I will post more info on my apartment later. I hope you enjoyed reading about future me.

So, My last posts have all been transfered from my blog on Tumblr. I switched to Tumbr to increase my views because it is a poppular site, but today I returned to blogger because I learned you can not comment on posts on tumbr. You can only "Like" and "Re-Blog" things. Which is weird. so yea, I am back in black or shall I say, back in blogger!

I hope to see people around on here, it was a violent switch because i was getting so many veiws, but we shall see how this turns out. I love all of you who are here, check out my posts to see what you missed.

I must say I am disappointed in you all for simply not commenting. I really hoped that last post would spark a little something in you, whether it was laughter, hope, or even fear, yet my blog remains commentless. No guys, I am not serious about being disappointed, but I am serious about the comments. Thankfully I did install a hit counter when I started this blog and I am happy to see it is at a healthy 120. Which may I tell you, is quite a bit for me, but it is hard to tell if people are flipping by or reading, so please comment with a simple hello or something to show me you really are there. Pubic Hair

If the name of this topic makes you feel awkward, then you definitely should not be on this blog. Pubic hair is a funny word to those of a younger age, but for me and many other people, pubic hair is just pubic hair. It is a conversation piece if you are with a friendly crowd.

 Anyway, welcome to you who are comfortable talking about the big P. No stupid, not that P, the P of pubic hair.

 I feel like pubic hair is something that really brings the human race together. Think about it, everyone has pubic hair, both men and woman. Next, usually pubic hair is dark, which is so sweet. Also, pubic hair is also wavy or curly (admit it, no ones is stick straight.) Lastly, pubic hair is somewhat waterproof… that is awesome, you can suddenly tell that humans are related to beaver. If you think that is a weird observation, than you have not seen the SNL Bosley commercial.  So yes, the big P (common get your head out of the gutter) is a beautiful thing that makes our world a better and more together place. Next time you make a racist comment, remind yourself, “that person has pubic hair just like mine.”

The Roof

Hey guys and gals who have happened upon this fabulous yet empty blog! I welcome you to A Little Fringe. As most of you know, I have been traveling during the past few weeks and I am currently writing this post in the car on my way to Kelly, Wyoming. In Kelly my family owns a small one room cabin with no running water (yes, that means we use a porta-potty.) I have been coming to this cabin all my life, and we still have not built a bathroom. I am sure you are wondering what I do at this cabin, if not then you should ask more questions. Anyway, in the small town of Kelly, Wyoming my sister and I hang out with our AWESOME friend. She has known us forever and vice versa, we have not always been friends but over the past few years we have been great friends. We like to make music videos (I will post one) With music that we wrote. Well, my sister wrote. It is a ton of fun to hang out with her. For two years we have been climbing onto the local school roof at night, and hanging out up there. It was really fun till we got caught!

What Happened That Night:

The three of us were all on the school roof at about ten o’clock. We had to sneak onto the roof that night because there was a carpet and upholstery man (later known as Cam) on his phone at the school. We figured he was working on carpeting the school and then we realized that he was there at 10 pm…. a little late right? Well, we snuck past him and onto the roof and hung out. We waited in silence to see if he would leave but he did not. After about half an hour we decided to paint our nails with the nail polish we had brought. Keep in mind the roof is not flat, it is slanted. In silence we painted our nails and after an hour had gone by we sat in boredom. Cam was still at the school so we couldn’t talk. We decided to start whispering and that was when Cam walked over to the front of the school where we were barely visible. He shouted “YOU BETTER GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW.” We stayed silent, sure he could not see us, and would just leave us alone. He continued to say that he knew we were up there and that we needed to come down. I forget if he had threatened to call the police, but I don’t really know. Anyway, as he calmed down a little we finally responded with a brief “ok we are coming down” then guess what he said? He said “It’s ok you can stay up there, just be careful.” All that for nothing! We sang songs on the roof for another hour while he worked. We were waiting for him to leave but we were so cold and felt so awkward that we left before him. We snuck across the roof and bolted through a hole in the fence surrounding the school. Cam came every night and stayed till 1:00 am or later. We are guessing that he was sleeping at the school and he could not accuse us of trespassing because then people would find out he was kind of living there. It was quite the adventure. We went up on the roof a few more times but always left as Cam was driving up. To answer your question of if we will go up this year, oh wait you didn’t ask that? Anyway, No, we don’t plan on going on the roof.

We also do fun things like canoeing, rafting, hiking, climbing, ect. Wyoming is an awesome place as long as you are in the right town. I will definitely post the video’s we make this year. All of our videos are on youtube, so just comment if you want the link to our account.

Out of Camp

Hey everyone! I just got out of my family camp and I am enjoying internet at a nice little cafe in Minnisotta. Not much is going on, I am extreemely dissapointed to see that season 8 of Greys Anatomy is still not on Netflix, but I think I can hang in there a bit longer. The family camp I go to with my cousins consists of skits, age group activities, mud hikes, canoeing, kyaking, and playing. It is very fun and I am siked for next year! I am thinking of some fun posts and I promise to get them up soon. On my car ride to Wyoming I will be able to write in the car. So yep, thats all, my friend is getting a blog and I can’t wait to follow it.

On My Way Out

Hey everyone! sorry for my pathetic lack of posts, but I have been buisy….. sort of. Anyway, tomarrow I am leaving to go on a trip across the country to Minisotta! In Minissota my sister and mom and i go to a family camp with my two cousins and their parents. May I mention, these are the coolest cousins ever! The camp mainly consists of classic camp crafts, skits, food, and family time. I have gone to the camp for about eight years now and Am so excited to add this one to the list. It is a very fun camp. Then I plan to go to Wyoming to stay in my families one room cabin and just hang with friends. After that I shall return home! So yea, thats my summer. Sorry again, I plan to keep up with this blog along my trip but who knows. Wish me a fun trip?!

Cash Man

     Hey everyone! I am so sorry that I have not written in a week or so, I have been busy doing nothing. Well, in this post I just wanted to shout out a little celebration for my friend Cash. Cash has been in the hospital for the last five months and was on the edge of death. i am completely serious, a few months ago the expectations for him were low. He had an infection in his lungs that just would not clear up, and as a result was in a comatose state. I know Cash from where I used to live, and since I volunteer at Children's Hospital Colorado, I have been able to see him every week and become closer with his family. I had never seen a friend in that state, and my mom and I struggled to think about what was going to happen. At the end of a struggling stretch of time, it was decided that he would need to be flown out to another state, and given a lung transplant. Now we all know how hard it is to get on the top of a transplant list, and a lung transplant would only last him about five years. Then, after a week or so from that news, it was known that he would be ok. It was a MIRACLE! He soon got of a support machine and moved out of ICU onto a regular room. He started walking slowly, playing piano, playing on a new Ipad, and being alive. He beat the odds big time, and I am so proud of him. Anyway, yesterday Cash got to go to a hotel (out of the hospital) for the first time in five months. He is free and excited about it. Cash will spend a week or more in my families guest apartment which will be great for them to be close to the hospital. After that they will return home. Cash was the first child to ever stand up on an ECMO machine, he beat the highest odds you could imagine, and he continues to bring his cute smile into everyone life. So congrats, and thank you to all the doctors and nurses who helped him.

     So yea, that is Cash's story, it is important to me and I thought you guys might like to hear it. Cash is 9 years old and in second grade. As for me, I am enjoying the summer. Life has been truly delightful and I am so excited to bring Cash up to our apartment tomorrow. I plan on being much more active on this blog too. Thanks to everyone who supports and reads this blog reading.

Last Day of School!

Hurray! Ha, I can't say I am thrilled because I have no idea what I will do with all my time this summer, but I am excited. School has been strangely enjoyable this year, probably due to the fact that I am going to a new "alternative" school. Anyway, I have several things I plan to do over the summer including
Going to Wyoming
Going to Minnesota
Swimming in a nearby pond
Playing on my new X-Box
And of course, hanging out with the fam.

Hey everyone! Isn't life great?! Anyway, I am just loving the summer weather, sun and some rain. It is so beautiful and different. I don't have much to say, I did get my nose pierced on a whim. In My Life

     Hey everyone! I am currently at school enjoying my free period outside. I just got back from my month long trip to Nepal and as a result, our school only has one week left of classes. Yep that's right, I only have one more math class and two more biology classes. It is very convenient and awesome but unfortunately I have to learn this whole months math in a week to complete the final. Eh, what can you do. Anyway, I should be writing class evals also but a blog post is far more fun for everyone.
     Next week we have meetings with graduating students but mine are all on Thursday, so I get to hang out at school and do nothing all week! My class is going on a trip to the hot springs over memorial weekend, till the 30th, and they all want me to come. I of course, as a introvert have absolutely no interest in the matter. Conveniently I have an excuse! My excuse is that my best friend is having surgery at the hospital where I volunteer, and I promised I would be there for her! hurray, I get to help a friend and help myself. There is no doubt that my class will be disappointed, but they can deal.
     Yep, that's pretty much all that is going on in my life, I hope to see you back at this blog soon!

WooHoo!

     Two page views yesterday! My life is complete. Just kidding, I have a long ways to go. I really appreciate if you have happened to stop by my blog, it makes me feel powerful I guess, like I can communicate with people and share my life. Not to sound cheesy or anything.
     Anyway, in my neighborhood we have a pond! Yes, it is so awesome and totally fun, but seeing as I live in Colorado, the water is very cold. Although it sounds painful to swim in cold pond water, it's so so much fun! My best friends and I always go there in the summer/ spring. I travel most of the summer so we have to manage the icy water. So, I have been so excited all winter for the spring to come so my friends and I can go swimming. I just got back from Nepal last week and I am dying to go swimming! Of course, that just isn't going to work, because guess what......    It snowed yesterday. No kidding, its ridiculous. So now I am going to wine this whole weekend about the weather, well maybe I can come up with something better to do.
     As for some great news on my part, next week is the last week of school classes! Hooray. I am kinda sad though, what will I do when school gets out? I guess I'll wine about the weather :P

4 o'clock

     Recently I took a trip to Nepal which is almost exactly halfway around the world from where I live. The trip was positively incredible. I went to Nepal once when I was 11 and went back this year, it has been a long time. Anyway, I don't have too much to write about the trip since it has passed, but it left me with two things.
1. A cough
2. Major jetlag
     It is a twelve hour difference so my schedule is opposite. I am starting to get back on track with Mountain Time but I still wake up too early. Today I woke up at 4 and decided not to go back to bed. Instead of much needed sleep, I turned on Netflix! Yes, I am a guilty person who loves Netflix unconditionally. Anyway, I watched a movie called "The Fall" I had watched it the day before and loved it so much that I watched it this morning. Between the creative of the movie, the incredible acting, and the adorable main character who happens to be my favorite actor, It's a pretty awesome movie. Anyway, after that I moved on to facebook, of course. Unfortunately I have a very boring facebook life, and to no surprise there was nothing new for me to look at. It is my aunts birthday so I was able to accomplish something and wish her a happy birthday. Once I had completed my facebook time, I checked my email (nothing new) I checked my yahoo account (again, nothing new), then I checked Deviant Art for new messages and surprise I got one new message, and lastly I went on Etsy to look for a birthday presant for my mom. And that's the routine, it took me about thirty minutes and then I was left with a wide open Internet full of opportunities that I have no desire to explore. So I ended up here, voila! So yeah, Kind of a boring post but you totally got a good movie out of it. Watch the movie ASAP because Netflix will probably remove it soon, or not. Enjoy

My Budgies

I have two budgies who I love very much. One is named Chance and the other is Tango. The are both bright and bouncing girls! Chance is a sweetie, and today she is being ok. They are not especially well trained, Tango is a little bitchy sometimes. Tango likes to bite as well. Yep, I just thought I would share that with you :) Here is a picture

Welcome! Somehow you have wandered through the vast Internet and found my little blog. This blog is like I diary, so if you are interested in reading about my life, than stay, if not than have a lovely day. I have had several blogs before but none had been "diary's".
